Attorney Smith had an active and successful career spanning 60 years, spending the last 8 years with Shafer Law Firm in our Titusville Office. During his career, Attorney Smith was an Assistant District Attorney for Crawford County, a Crawford County Child Support Hearing Officer, a Child Custody Mediator, and served for several years as the Titusville City Solicitor. He also served on the Titusville YMCA Board of Directors and the Titusville Advisory Board of the University of Pittsburgh, volunteered for Hospice of Crawford County, as was an Elder and Deacon at the Titusville First Presbyterian Church. Before starting his legal career, he served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967; he spent one year in Vietnam, where he received the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star Medal. Bruce passed away on June 20, 2025. He was well loved and respected by the Shafer Law Firm and Allegheny Realty Settlement staff and clients and will be greatly missed.
